Joe Biden, Tara Reade, and Democratic Establishment—Deja Vu Again?

If Joe Biden loses to the execrable multiple-accused sexual molester Donald Trump in November, the blame will be squarely with the Democratic Party establishment and the corporate pro-establishment media.

Had Tara Reade’s allegations of sexual assault against Biden been covered the way it’s now being reported during the Democratic primaries, voters might have thought twice about Biden. Maybe Bernie Sanders could’ve ended up as the Democratic presumptive candidate; maybe Elizabeth Warren, maybe Pete Buttigieg.

Going into November, voters wouldn’t have to ponder whether to vote for an accused serial molester who actually boasted that he used to “grab” women by the private part, and a candidate who is yet to directly address Reade’s allegations.

What is the key lesson here? That the Democratic establishment and its allies in corporate media are more willing to risk four more years of Trump than allow a candidate like Sanders who aimed to fundamentally overhaul the medical industrial system and the U.S. corporate structure. This is the reason why there was a hear no evil and see no evil approach regarding Ms. Reade’s allegations during the primaries by establishment media. This is dangerous.

This is the reason why Sanders was blocked, once again, when his Democratic opponents flocked to Biden’s support before Super Tuesday. It’s also the reason why the establishment blocked Sanders to aid Hillary Clinton’s candidacy in 2016.

Does this script sound familiar? Are the chickens coming home to roost, or put another way, deja vu all over again?
